Join Typekit at Typographics and for a Special NYC Event

It’s been a busy spring here at Typekit, but many of us are quite jazzed to attend the Typographics Conference in New York in a couple of weeks. We can’t wait to attend and hear so many excellent speakers from the type and graphic design industries. We’re once again sponsoring the conference, so please come and say hello if you see our team around Cooper Union.

Just for friends of Typekit, we have a conference discount code for $50 off. Use promo code ADOBE_50 when registering for Typographics.

We’ll be sponsoring a lunch workshop with our friends at Type Network, Morisawa and Type Directors Club on Friday, June 15 and Saturday, June 16 for students and early-career folks about showcasing new typefaces. From perfecting the peerless printed specimen to shaping a super social share, we’ll discuss how to best thrust those glyphs into the spotlight. We’ll wrap the session discussing the pros and cons of type competitions and advice for preparing your entries for them. Stay tuned to attendee communications for more details and a link to register.

In addition to the main program, the conference will once again feature an array of workshops and tours for attendees, as well as TypeLab happening June 14-17. Our own Tim Brown will be presenting at TypeLab this year, so stay tuned to the schedule.

While you’re in New York…

…and if you’re in town earlier that week (or already local!), we are hosting a cocktail reception and panel the evening of Tuesday, June 12 at the Ramscale Studio to celebrate a new collaboration between Adobe, p98a, and an international group of type design students.

You can register for the event here, using the code hiddennyc.
