Upcoming speaking events: July & August
Ready for a slow, relaxing summer? Not over here! We’ll be jetting in a few different directions over the next couple months for talks and conferences. Here’s where you might spot some of us.
SassXSW
1 July | Bath, UK
The cleverly-named SassXSW (Sass by South West) meetup will be gathering on July 1 in Bath, with our designer Jake Giltsoff as one of the speakers. We’re also pleased to be sponsors for the event, which as of posting is sold out; check for open spots on their Eventbrite page.
Design Swansea
9 July | Swansea, UK
Continuing his midsummer tour of the UK, Jake Giltsoff will present on “The Future(s) of Typography” at the Design Swansea meetup. Tickets for the event are available online now.
Granshan
23–25 July | University of Reading, UK
Registration
Granshan is a yearly typography conference dedicated to digging into the design challenges facing typographers today. Paul Hunt will present “An Illustrated History of Non-Latin Typeface Development at Adobe,” and Frank Grießhammer will discuss the Adobe Font Developer Kit and its utility for complex script typefaces. Tickets are available as of posting on the conference website.
TypeCon
12–16 August | Denver, Colorado
We’ll be at TypeCon in full force, with presentations from Paul Hunt, Frank Grießhammer, Ivan Bettger, Steve Ross, and Miguel Sousa — not to mention those of us who will be there attending. We’ll have more to say about this closer to the event; in the meantime, registration will be opening any day now on the TypeCon website, and you can check out the program preview.
Hybrid
20–21 August | Dublin, Ireland
Registration
The full schedule isn’t live just yet, but the speaker lineup for Hybrid is promising — and includes our own Jake Giltsoff. Get tickets while they’re still available!
