Celebrating five years of Typekit

On November 10, it will have been five years since we first launched Typekit to the public with just a handful of foundry partners and a few dozen web fonts.

From being on the ground as web fonts gained traction, to joining Adobe, to introducing desktop font sync with Creative Cloud — and adding more fonts and foundries to our library all the while — we’ve had a busy five years. Whether you’ve been with us since 2009, or you started learning about typography just yesterday, you’re part of this community now and we thank you for being a part of the journey. It’s been an amazing ride.

We’ll be hosting a little celebration on November 14 to mark the occasion, and we’d love to have our typophile friends join us. If you’re in the San Francisco area and would like to come, please sign up on our Eventbrite page. Tickets are free but in limited supply, so act quickly. Hope to see you soon!
