New web fonts from Hannes von Döhren

Brandon Grotesque, Hannes von Döhren’s warm geometric sans, is now available on Typekit, along with several other new and unique display typefaces.

Brandon Grotesque Black, Italic, and Medium Italic, with FF Basic Gothic. (source text)

Atop its striking geometric skeleton, Brandon Grotesque’s soft contours and forgiving corners melt like an ice cube in a hot cup of soup; perfect for taking the edge off of a starkly designed experience, or providing structure for one that is more organic. Above, italic Brandon subheads combine with the handsome text face FF Basic Gothic (also by von Döhren) to yield cozy typographic clusters that read easily.

Brandon’s basic four styles (Regular, Italic, Bold, Bold Italic) have been TrueType hinted for crisp rendering at smaller sizes, while its other weights are served with PostScript outlines for smooth rendering at large sizes.

Top to bottom: Grandma, Subway New York, Reklame Script

Other new additions include Grandma, Livory, Reklame Script, Blow Up, and the Subway types: New York (with SC), Paris (with SC), and Berlin (with SC).
