Sites We Like: MatternCo, Interactive Things, & Webknit

This week, we’re shining the spotlight on a few of the people who help to make the web a beautiful place with thoughtful visual design, great interactions, and exceptional typography.

MatternCo

MatternCo website

MatternCo is the homepage for Sarah Mattern’s creative studio, and it’s full of little touches — like the bits of Bouffant here and there — that go a long way to demonstrate her knack for good design. Body text is in lovely FF Tisa, and headers are in Brandon Grotesque.

Interactive Things

Interactive Things website

The Interactive Things website shows a great example of FF Netto in use; this is a flexible font that looks great in headers, but we especially love the tidy look of the body text here. For a nice bit of serif contrast, Teimer gets dropped in for subheads.

Webknit

Webknit website

Brandon Grotesque remains a popular choice among Typekit customers, and sites like Webknit showcase why: it’s an enormously flexible typeface that can carry the text for a whole website, and it adds just enough personality without feeling overdone.

That’s it for this week; share sites you like in the comments!
