Internationalization and Unicode Conference

3-5 November 2014 | Santa Clara, California, USA

In his talk “Developing & Deploying The World’s First Open Source Pan-CJK Typeface Family,” Ken Lunde will delve into the development of Source Han Sans and Noto Sans CJK.

8 November 2014 | Munich, Germany

Bram Stein will explore advanced web typography using CSS, HTML and, if necessary, JavaScript. He will dive deep into the current state of browser support for kerning, hyphenation, justification, and OpenType features. Type designer Tim Ahrens will be moderating the day, and leading a Q&A session at the end of the talks.

5th Meeting of Typography

17-21 November 2014 | Barcelos, Portugal

Type designer and font developer Miguel Sousa is keynoting Friday’s sessions with his talk, “Font Technology and Type Design at Adobe.” The presentation takes us from the early days of desktop publishing through recent milestones in open source font development.
