Font Business Summit in April

There’s a day-and-a-half “Font Business Summit” on April 3-4, hosted by Microsoft in Redmond, Washington, and organized by the Font Designers Rights Coalition (FDRC).

It’s aimed at type designers and font vendors, and while nominally an “invitation only” event, most folks who make or sell fonts would be welcome. Contact janet@fdrc.org to wangle yourself an invitation.

Although the discounted hotel rate ($79 at the Fairfield Inn) was to expire today, I hear through the grapevine that it’s being extended to end of day Monday!

For more details, including a full schedule, see the Microsoft Typography site.

I live just a short drive away, so of course I’ll be there, including being on a panel or two.
