Type Thursday opens a new chapter in SF

After a successful first year in New York, TypeThursday is now expanding its operation to include a San Francisco chapter — and the opening event is next week. If you’re in the Bay Area, come check it out!

TypeThursday is a monthly meetup for people who love letterforms, founded by type designer Thomas Jockin. In addition to beer, snacks, and networking opportunities with other Bay Area typophiles, the inaugural SF event will include a type critique of works in progress, led by James Edmondson of OH no Type Co.

TypeThursdaySF kicks off on Thursday, September 15th, from 6–9pm at the San Francisco Center for the Book. The event is free, but be sure to RSVP at Eventbrite — there’s a special prize for the first 35 to do so!

We’re looking forward to sponsoring this new SF meetup. If you can’t join us next week, mark your calendar for the next events on October 20th, November 17th, and December 8th.
