Adobe Type now available at Fontspring

Today, we are pleased to welcome Fontspring as a new partner in our effort to provide more options to customers of Adobe Type, our in-house type foundry.

Many Adobe-owned typefaces – including most of the Myriad Pro, Minion Pro, Garamond Premier Pro, and Chaparral Pro families – have long been available for web and desktop use via Typekit, which is included with most Creative Cloud subscriptions.

But we recognize that not all of the users of our type are Creative Cloud subscribers, and that some prefer the flexibility provided by a traditional, perpetual license. We have sold Adobe type directly to our customers continuously since 1986, as well as through resellers and partners, and we’re proud to welcome Fontspring to that community.

Buying fonts for desktop use from Fontspring

Buying Adobe fonts via Fontspring is easy. Find the Adobe font you want, click “Add to Cart,” and then complete their simple checkout process. Fonts purchased from Fontspring aren’t managed by Typekit or the Creative Cloud desktop application, so you’ll need to install them yourself by following these handy instructions.

For now, Fontspring will offer Adobe desktop fonts via a traditional perpetual license only. If you want to use Adobe typefaces as web fonts on your website, we invite you to explore Typekit, where you’ll find all Adobe typefaces available for web use in a Portfolio plan or higher, which is included with most paid Adobe Creative Cloud subscriptions.
