Type Camp comes to San Francisco

Type Camp is coming to Adobe’s San Francisco office this March, and if you’re in the Bay Area, this is a fantastic opportunity to spend a full day learning about typography and lettering from professionals.

On March 6, the day-long workshop will cover the fundamentals of typographic design and help you develop sketching techniques for your own letterforms. Your instructors will be Stephen Coles, Alexandre Saumier Demers, and Shelley Gruendler. Whether you’re brushing up your existing skills or just getting started, your typographic design sense can only benefit from this workshop.

On March 13, Type Camp digs into the practice of hand lettering, and you’ll experiment with creating Blackletter and Neuland letterforms with parallel pen. Your instructors will be Xandra Zamora and Shelley Gruendler, both accomplished letterers. The full-day workshop should be a fun one, and you’ll come away with new hand lettering skills.

If you’re interested, sign up promptly — space is limited to just eight participants for each workshop. You’ll find more details about the sessions and registration on the Type Camp website.
