Sites we like: Brian Cummings, Type Connection, and Style Tiles

The many voices of fonts and brands in this week’s sites we like.
Brian Cummings is a voice actor whose CV includes such canonical performances as Dr. Mindbender from the Original G.I. Joe. The site features Liberator from Lost Type Co-op, plus FF Tisa and Alternate Gothic No. 3 D from Typekit. The illustrations and playful copy make for an especially charming site.
Type Connection is billed as a typographic dating game, but underneath the game facade is a clever tool for learning how to pair fonts well. Here, FF Tisa takes on a decidedly more authoritative air, while remaining approachable.
Style Tiles are a tool that helps communicate the spirit of a visual brand for the web. Proxima Nova’s geometric shape nicely complements the graph paper theme.

I feel like FF Tisa is being used everywhere…..but thats a good thing due to it being so great.
I wish Typekit could have a leaderboard so you could check on which fonts are being served the most at any given time
