I’d like to use this opportunity to share some artwork created recently for the TypeGallery exhibition at TypeCon2010 this month in Los Angeles. All of the typefaces we’ll be showcasing there have been created and/or published within the past twelve months.

Below is a thumbnail of our poster for Adobe Text Pro. Adobe Text is a new and versatile text typeface family designed by Robert Slimbach for Western (Latin, Greek, Cyrillic) typesetting. The font family is currently one of complementary benefits to CS5 customers who complete and submit their profile information. This poster was designed by Robert Slimbach. Below is a thumbnail of our poster for Hypatia Sans Pro. Hypatia Sans is a geometric sans serif with humanist undertones.  Thomas Phinney completed the upright faces and much of the Italics, but was unable to finish them, so Paul Hunt stepped in to complete the project. The upright faces were one of the registration incentive options for CS3 and the italics were completed and began shipping on Adobe’s Type Store this past April. Below is a thumbnail of our poster for Kazuraki SP2N. Kazuraki (かづらき) is a fully-proportional Japanese kana typeface that includes a limited number of glyphs for ideographs (kanji). The typeface is based on the handwriting of Fujiwara-no-Teika (藤原定家), and was designed by Adobe’s own Ryoko Nishizuka (西塚涼子). The font is also one of complementary benefits to CS5 customers (Japan-only) who complete and submit their profile information.
